At Kaleidoscope Place our mission is to provide a creative, educational, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in character and community for success in a changing world. We offer after school and summer youth development programs for children in grades Kindergarten-12th. Kaleidoscope Place is an authorized Area Learning Center through Minneapolis Public Schools. We are located in the heart of the Phillips neighborhood in South Minneapolis.

Highlights of our After School Kids and Summer Kids programs:

Kaleidoscope is an organization that has an outstanding track record in increasing student achievement, due in large part to the design of the program. From the minute students walk in the door, they are placed in an environment which gives them the greatest odds of success. One primary reason is an excellent ratio of students to adults (staff and volunteers), which equates to a 5:1 ratio. This ratio forms the basis for our most important instructional strategies. Kaleidoscope’s program is based around four key concepts: 1) One-to-one assistance, 2) Small Group instruction, 3) Individual exploration/Free Choice, and 4) Assessment and Data driven instruction.
