Giving

The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits just published a very important report, the “2010 Nonprofit Outlook”, that details the current conditions of Nonprofits and the tough year ahead, which will directly impact Kaleidoscope Place. Please read it and remember Kaleidoscope Place in your giving. Your support is vital to our programs, and especially our children and youth.

The programs at Kaleidoscope can only be sustained by the continued support of financial contributors. Please consider helping to support the important work of Kaleidoscope with a recurring or one-time contribution. Matching Donor programs may also apply to your gift.

Go to GiveMN.org to put a smile on a child’s face by donating to Kaleidoscope Place.

GiveMN.org is our online giving partner that processes our online donations. You can also create unique ways to raise money for Kaleidoscope and set up an individual fundraiser page on GiveMN.org. What a great opportunity to be creative in your support of Kaleidoscope!

Here is a real life, creative example of how one individual is using the power of GiveMN.org: What do Kaleidoscope Place and the Great Divide have in common? Timothy Davis! Tim has set up a fundraising profile on GiveMN.org called “Riding the Great Divide for Kaleidoscope” to raise money for our Summer Kids program. He will be biking 1,500 miles up the northern trek of the Great Divide. Please support Tim on his incredible journey, and in turn, you will be supporting our children on their incredible journeys! You can also check out the first leg of his journey in 2006 on his blog, “The Great Divide”.

Individual Donations

Can your donation make a difference? The answer is overwhelmingly “YES!” All of our programs are free to participants, so Kaleidoscope relies entirely on contributions from our community to run our programs. So, does your contribution make a difference? You bet it does! Please see the Sponsorships section for more detailed information on sponsorship opportunities.

Children’s Photography
“The Colors of Phillips” children’s photography project was completed in March 2010, just before our Spring Benefit. If you love photography, then you will love these thought provoking photographs that were taken by the Kaleidoscope Place children. Purchasing a child’s photograph is a wonderful way to support our programming, as well as, encourage our blooming artists. Just think of how proud they will feel when they learn that someone purchased a photo that they took! …and wait till you see the photos…

 Friendraisers

Kaleidoscope Place is a small nonprofit organization and we are always looking for ways to increase our circle of friends, supporters, and volunteers. One unique way you can help us do this is by hosting a Kaleidoscope Friendraiser. It’s easy! Invite a group of your friends, colleagues, or members of your faith-based community over to share a meal. Then, share with them the mission, goals, and wonderful work we do with children and youth at Kaleidoscope. Ask them how they are willing to share in your passion for Kaleidoscope. Whether itís sponsoring a donation drive, signing up to volunteer, and/or making a financial contribution to Kaleidoscope you will be helping us to increase our circle of Kaleidoscope supporters and volunteers. You can also request that Kaleidoscope Place staff and/or Board Members join you for your event so they can share their experiences and passion at your Friendraiser.

Donation Drives

Magnus, Kent, and friends enjoying some cupcakes during our summer birthday party.
At Kaleidoscope we are always in need of supplies that we use on a daily basis, such as: healthy snacks and beverages, culturally specific children’s books, cleaning supplies, arts and crafts materials and supplies, and clothing and underwear. Help us to obtain these much needed items by organizing a donation drive. One easy way to coordinate a donation drive for Kaleidoscope is by asking family, friends, and colleagues to bring an item (such as a prepackaged healthy snack or juice boxes) to the next event you may be organizing or hosting. For example, at your child’s next birthday party request that the invitees bring a donation for Kaleidoscope Place.
