The 2008 End of Summer Potluck
A fun time was had by all at our 2008 End of Summer Potluck at Kaleidoscope. The classes gave Recycling Presentations, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans did a check presentation, community organizations provided information for familes, and we all enjoyed beef, turkey, and veggie hot dogs, several awesome potluck items, and beverages. The 2008 Kaleidoscope Spring Benefit
The annual Kaleidoscope Spring Benefit was incredible! This event helps to raise money for our Summer Kids program. The main feature was our version of Deal or No Deal. People purchased numbered cases with “mystery” prizes inside. Then if their number was called they had an opportunity to keep their case or trade for another case. It was truly an experience just watching! The dinner was fantastic! We raise over $10,000! Wow! Thanks to ALL the hard work from the Benefit Committee and the volunteers!

Kaleidoscope Place’s 3rd Annual Black History Play
The Black History play at the end of February was a great success. We were so impressed by the performances by the children! What a powerful event! One of the best parts was when the families were shouting out during the play supporting their children and the other performers. It was as if they were watching the real Rosa Parks sitting on the bus, and listening to the real Maya Angelou reciting “Still I Rise”. Thanks to all of the Kaleidoscope staff and children for all of their hard work preparing for and putting on an excellent show!
